(NaturalNews) Superstorm sandy never happened. There was no flooding, no power grid failure and no fatalities. In the aftermath of the storm that never happened, there will be no looting, no property loss, and no economic losses, either. This is the world according to those I call "off-course optimists" -- people who strangely choose to deny reality rather than deal with it.

I call them "off-course" because as much as optimism is a valuable approach to living in a complex world, these people take optimism to an extreme absurdity, using it as a cover behind which they hide from reality in a state of never-ending denial.

Off-course optimists have not only denied anything bad would happen from superstorm Sandy, they have informed me that it is actually my fault that negatives things have actually occurred!

"If we could just think more positive, the storm might have changed course," I was informed by one internet user. The day before the storm hit, I was also called a "fear monger" for reporting the weather (i.e. the approaching storm). "You are fear mongering" said a Facebook user. "The storm is a joke!" "Exaggerated hype!" "Conspiracy theory!"

When I warned that the power grid would fail, thrusting millions of people into the dark, I was once again called a fear monger by the off-course optimists. "You're exaggerating, fearmonger!"

Another person accused me of "Using fear to sell my preparedness courses" that teach public safety. Because, apparently, teaching people to be safe is a terrible thing.

So not only is reporting the news a conspiracy theory; teaching people how to stay safe is BAD! It's BAD to wear seatbelts too, I suppose... and BAD to even use headlights while driving at night. Bad! Bad! Bad!

Now, today, as I've been warning people about the wave of looting that I know full well is about to be unleashed as darkness falls, I am being barraged by comments from the most absurd off-course optimists I've ever witnessed online. "Fear monger!" "Hyping fear!" "Lying about looting!" "Just trying to scare people!" "Pushing conspiracy theories!"

Ummm... so when did reporting the weather become a conspiracy theory, anyway? When did warning people to be prepared against looters and criminals become so politically incorrect?

"Government will save us" seems to be the mantra of these people. How dare I actually teach individuals to defend their own homes and families? That's the government's job!

How dare I report on the storm's track! That's only going to make it come true!

How dare I even suggest that looting will take place after dark... that's almost racist! (Yeah, I've been told that, too.)

Yep, weathermen are evil. Preparedness defense experts are conspiracy theorists, and according to the optimists, the mere act of thinking about looters actually causes the looting to happen.

So when looters break into commercial buildings and residential homes tonight, stealing valuables and destroying even more property, it's all MY fault for talking about it! I made it happen, apparently, and if I had just ignored the subject like everyone else, it never would have happened.

I can hardly express the depth of delusion in this kind of thinking. It is worrisome for the future of humanity that people exist today who believe these things. No wonder the planet is making absolutely no preparations for a massive solar flare which happens about every 100 years and will severely damage our modern-day power grid. Do you hear anyone actually discussing ways to minimize the damage to the power grid? Nope. The masses are so uniformly delusional, they refuse to even discuss such a threat. (Probably 98% of the population has never even heard of this threat.)

The problem begins with the electric power grid. "Electric power is modern society's cornerstone technology on which virtually all other infrastructures and services depend," the report notes. Yet it is particularly vulnerable to bad space weather. Ground currents induced during geomagnetic storms can actually melt the copper windings of transformers at the heart of many power distribution systems. Sprawling power lines act like antennas, picking up the currents and spreading the problem over a wide area. The most famous geomagnetic power outage happened during a space storm in March 1989 when six million people in Quebec lost power for 9 hours. According to the report, power grids may be more vulnerable than ever. The problem is interconnectedness. In recent years, utilities have joined grids together to allow long-distance transmission of low-cost power to areas of sudden demand.

According to the following map, also published by NASA, a single solar flare could cause what they call "long-duration outages that could extend multiple years."

Are you getting that? Imagine YEARS without power in dozens of major cities across the USA. That's the reality of the situation we're inevitably facing, and it would make superstorm Sandy look like a kindergarten fire drill by comparison.

But, oh no, I'm not supposed to talk about space weather because that's too negative. A conspiracy theory. Solar flares are fiction! It's not nice to talk about space weather, didn't ya know?

Then there's the threat of a giant space rock slamming into the planet, wiping out nearly all human civilization. It's a far less common threat in terms of chronological frequency, but the consequences are far more severe (i.e. destroying virtually all human life on the planet). Do you hear Obama or Romney talking about how to save the world from giant space rocks? Of course not. It's not even on the public's radar.

What about the risk of widespread agricultural genetic pollution from GMOs? Never even discussed. How about the loss of global water aquifers that support modern agriculture? You hardly hear even a blip about it, and yet in 25 - 30 years, much of our world will be facing widespread starvation due to freshwater sources running dry.

Oh, but wait, I forgot: I'm BAD for talking about reality. I'm supposed to just stay positive and none of this will ever be a problem. "Focus on the positive!" I'm told by people, as if ignoring real problems makes them go away. I'm supposed to talk about sports, celebrities and TV sitcoms, and then I'll be socially acceptable, you see.

Except, the problem is I can't act that stupid. I can't dumb my brain down to the level of the popular masses, and I'm willing to bet you can't either. Once you have awareness of the real world, it's almost impossible to devolve back into the world of denial and delusion.

I've figured out what's going on here, by the way. As a person of high intelligence, I often look into both the near future and far future to consider where we are headed based on current trends. This simple act of observing present-day actions and extrapolating into the near future requires intelligent thought and is therefore not politically correct in today's society which is dominated by zombie-headed morons... where it's cool to be stupid. To actually think critically about anything -- vaccines, fluoride, the national debt, topsoil, aquatic ecosystems, economics and so on -- is to be widely ridiculed just as in the movie "Idiocracy" by Mike Judge. (Still one of my favorite all-time films.)

Anyone who wants to be popular and fit in must abandon all intelligent thought, stop analyzing information, and simply go with the flow of the zombie-bots and GMO-poisoned cognitive damage victims who are frighteningly common and only days away from flooding the voting booths, by the way. Our political future is in their hands, and that alone is a frightening freak show.

Seriously: We live in a nation full of people steeped in such embarrassing ignorance that they know more about TV sitcoms than the Federal Reserve. They know more about sports celebrities than what's in the food they're swallowing. They're experts in knowing all sorts of details about the fictional constructs they believe to be real, but they utterly lack any knowledge about reality itself.

And that's the point here: I'm a student of reality, not fiction. And that just flat-out pisses some people off. If there's one thing zombie-heads hate the most, it's being presented with information that challenges their most closely-held delusions.

For the past decade, I've observed things, made predictions about the near future, and I've been right about 70 percent of the time. That's a solid track record for anyone who dares to put predictions online, in full view of the public, sometimes making predictions 2-3 years ahead.

I publicly predicted the dot-com crash of 2001, I publicly predicted (and strongly warned about) the housing bubble crash of 2006, and I am now publicly warning about the global debt blowout that's coming soon. In the immediate future, I'm warning about the looting that's about to be unleashed across Philadelphia and especially New York City while the power grid is down.

Overall, about 70 percent of everything I warn about is going to come true. You may want to keep that in mind when I openly warn about the global debt collapse and the rise of weaponized flying robots that will be used to hunt down "enemies of the state."

These are not idle guesses; they are well researched extrapolations of current trends. I have also publicly predicted that one of the most important defenses against killer drones will be thermal blankets (i.e. "space blankets") that block infrared light. The killer flying drones will, of course, hunt humans at night using thermal imaging.

This isn't sci-fi, and it's not a conspiracy. It's a rather obvious scientific observation of where drones are headed and how the totally corrupt, criminally-run government will eventually deploy them. If you read this about "killer flying drones" and laugh about it, you should actually be concerned about your own lack of awareness of what's really happening in the world. You may have never seen the videos showing large ground robots that can already track humans and carry weapons. I'm going to predict, right here for the history books, a death rate of 80% of North Americans within the two years following a solar flare sufficiently large to knock out the national power grid. Most will die of starvation, but radiation poisoning could also be a huge factor if the hundreds of nuke plants can't get their backup generators online quickly (causing many to go into meltdown). Such a solar flare strikes our planet about every one hundred years, so this event could very well happen in our lifetimes.

It's no reason to panic, of course. It's easy to survive an 80% fatality event. Just make sure you're better prepared than 4 out of 5 people -- and that's a cinch, given that 9 out of 10 people have made no preparations at all.

The hugely interesting thing about a solar flare / grid down event is that it will be the first large-scale "natural selection" vector to appear in modern history. It will almost immediately remove from the human gene pool those who suffer from delusional optimism and refuse to prepare for survive. It will leave remaining in the human gene pool those individuals who are forward thinkers, survivors, and who do not depend on big government to save their hind ends every time something goes wrong.

The future of the human race, ultimately will belong to the survivalists who eat organic and avoid GMOs, because that's what protects your reproductive capacity, too. Those who don't "believe" in survival won't even be around to argue about anything, because they'll be dead.

Such is the reality we are facing as a species and a civilization. Deal with it, and then be optimistically informed so that you can face the future with well-deserved optimism. For me personally, I'm a survivor and I'm already set up to live two or more years if the global crops fail and most of humanity starves. There are lots of people like me across the country, and together we are the TRUE optimists because we face the future with a sense of confidence rather than blind naivet?.

Being a legitimate optimist first requires that you be informed. Because how can you be optimistic about your life experience and the world around you if you don't even know what's going on in the world? Living in denial is not optimism. It's more like a cop-out.
